Your Role 

As a Senior Sales Consultant, you will play a crucial role in our growth strategy. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Sales and based in the Sacramento/San Francisco Bay area or the Boston-New York corridor, your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Strategic Sales Development: Create and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed targets within your territory. 

  • Market Expansion: Identify and prioritize key accounts and new business opportunities. 

  • Client Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers. 

  • Technical Expertise: Sell value in consultative selling, delivering compelling technical presentations and demonstrations, showcasing our products' benefits and capabilities. 

  • Market Analysis: Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to drive new opportunities. 

  • Sales Cycle Management: Oversee the entire sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring efficiency and client satisfaction. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to align on goals and ensure outstanding customer service. 

Job requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology or Life Sciences, alternatively a Bachelor in Business with significant experience in cell culture and bioreactors. An advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD) is a plus. 

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in biotech sales, with a focus on bioreactors or related technologies is required. 

  • Proven Success: Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and growing market share. 

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of bioreactor technologies and their applications. 

  • Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Tools Proficiency: Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools. 

  • Mobility: Willingness to travel as required, domestically and occasionally internationally. 

  • Personal Attributes: Self-Starter, Self-motivated, relationship-builder, results-oriented, strategic, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
