n! biomachines, based in Burlington, is focused on the development and production of bioreactors and advanced machinery for cellular agriculture and precision fermentation. Our integrated Research and Development center within the same facility is an Ontario hub for innovation in bioprocess design and optimization, plant-based engineering, food technology and scaled alternative protein production.

We are seeking an experienced Senior CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge and expertise in CNC programming, with proficiency in operating CNC lathe and milling machines. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can read blueprints and utilize CAD software, such as MasterCam, to produce high-quality components. The Senior CNC Machinist will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient production processes while adhering to lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and Operate CNC Mill & CNC Lathe (DN Solutions (Doosan) Puma 2600 SY II)

  • Create CNC Programs with MasterCam, and edit as required

  • Understand & interpret Engineered Drawings, as well as Sketches

  • Receive and understand Verbal & Written Instructions in English

  • Operate Other Equipment as required (includes conventional)

  • Use various Monitoring & Measuring Devices & Instrumentation

  • Good Housekeeping & Organizational Skills

  • Work well with others

Job requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of practical hands-on machining experience

  • Expereicne using DN Solutions (Doosan) Puma 2600 SY II – Lathe required

  • Proficiency in CNC programming languages

  • Solid mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using various machining tools and equipment

  • Proficiency with MasterCam is required

  • Strong blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documents

  • Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and tolerances

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles is a plus

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Good communication skills, work ethic, and a positive attitude

  • Must have experience with Tight Tolerances

  • Ability to lift up to 50 LBS from time to time
