Field Service Technician

n! biomachines, located in Burlington, Ontario, is on the lookout for an experienced and dynamic Field Service Technician. Join our innovative team and help drive our mission forward in the rapidly evolving biotech industry!

Responsibilities

• Provide service and technical support during field visits or dispatches.

• Manage installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of bioreactors and other biotech equipment.

• Diagnose and resolve errors or technical issues, offering effective solutions to ensure optimal performance.

• Teach customers how to use and maintain equipment effectively, ensuring satisfaction and understanding.

• Produce timely and detailed service reports, document installation processes, and maintain accurate records of repairs.

• Cooperate with technical teams, share insights across the organization, and mentor less experienced team members.

• Manage spare parts and replacement equipment inventory, ensuring readiness for field requirements.

• Associate’s (A.S./A.A.S.) or Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or equivalent experience (e.g., military certifications in electronics or avionics).

• Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain technical equipment, ideally bioreactors or similar systems.

• Familiarity with electrical and electromechanical systems, mobile tools, and applications.

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and climbing.

• Proficiency in English for effective communication.

• Willingness to travel overnight 40-50%, domestically and internationally.

• Valid license with a clean driving record.
